Elegant Events by Carl

Spending 6 years in the retail customer service industry and working with companies such as; Wal-Mart, Home Base, Robinsons-May and Nordstrom’s, Carl’s passions weren’t fully realized until 2003 when he accepted a position to serve as Food and Beverage Director for Dove Canyon Country Club in Dove Canyon, California (part of the American Golf Corporation). Having also become an extraordinarily talented amateur chef under the loving training of his mother, his love of cooking food would now be matched with his professional customer service experience. He would be forced to quickly learn the juggling act of coordinating multiple events, casual banquets to fancy weddings. Each event that came through the country club was another one of Carl’s masterpieces. “I began to fall in love with the rhythm of making a real, quality event come together. I’m honored my kitchen crew and I were able to serve so many guests for the four years I was with them.”

Throughout the years Carl has continued to develop his culinary skills in various forms while pursuing the art of preparing perfect dishes. In touring many of the finest restaurants in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was able to learn from gifted chefs about creating the best authentic Southern dishes such as gumbo, jambalaya, BBQ, fried chicken, and red beans and rice which are a few of Carl’s specialties today.
